Dear All,

We would like to inform you that the flight GQ700 from Athens to London as well as the flight GQ701 from London to Athens as of April 1st, 2023 will be performed from Gatwick Airport (LGW) and not Heathrow (LHR).

This is driven by operational and capacity constraints at Heathrow airport, which we expect to get more intense during the summer season. At SKY express we stay committed to providing our passengers with the best possible travel experience and we are confident that Gatwick will allow us to continue meeting our passengers’ expectations, taking them every time to their destination in comfort and on time. Operating at LGW will also allow us to serve the LON route with our two new A321neo aircraft (230 seats capacity), with the fist one entering our fleet later this month.

Our commercial policy for our affected passengers on GQ700/701 is as following:

  • Passengers who made their reservation before the airport change are entitled to a full refund
  • Passengers who made their reservation before the airport change is entitled to the airport taxes difference on LON-ATH segment.

As of now, the following action items have been completed for the migration to LGW airport:

  1. All GQ700 and GQ701 flights between April 1st and October 28th are now open for sales to / from LGW
  2. Passengers on flights to/from LHR have been transferred to flights to/from LGW (flight number has remained the same)
  3. An announcement has been posted on our website
  4. Email Notifications have been sent to affected passengers with booking on April flights

FYI, Passengers with bookings on flights after April 30st will be notified in batches within the coming days.

We count on your continious market support / feedback related to this change.

Many thanks and regards,

George
